Conservative Dentistry

Advanced conservative treatment covers three key areas:

PROPHYLAXIS – preventing the development of caries and paradontosis by eliminating the plaque, the main cause of caries, and increasing tooth resistance to acids. The basic procedures in this respect include fluorisation of the teeth, replenishing the tooth enamel, and maintaining the mouth in proper hygiene. Correct hygiene goes further than cleaning the teeth, as it includes regular removal of tartar and dental deposits and other procedures falling in the area of cosmetic dentistry. The goal of prophylaxis is to keep the teeth healthy without medical intervention in their internal structure.

CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT – treating simple carious defects without invasion in the pulp:

  • remineralisation – the procedure conducted in the early stage of caries symptomised by carietic spots.
The basic procedure consists in fluorisation.
  • removal of the carietic dental tissue, work-out of the thus formed cavity, and its filling with special, top quality, light-curable material.

ENDODONTICS – or treating advanced dental caries accompanied by inflammatory complications, pulpal necrosis, or pulp gangrene in extreme cases. Endodontic treatment is recommendable particularly before moving to any prosthetic steps. Here, we employ the most recent technologies and treatment procedures to save the Patient’s own teeth, as they are always the top priority. Advanced radiological diagnostics plays a major role in endodontics. Endodontic treatment, commonly referred to as root canal therapy, consists in removing micro-organisms and any remains of the degenerated pulp, forming the canal so as to give it funnel shape, and filling it with chemically neutral, insoluble material. Then, the crown is filled in with special light-cured material. Success in endodontic treatment is the outcome of the doctor’s knowledge and skills on the one hand, and the modern specialised instruments at his disposal on the other hand. The instruments help to magnify the view, illuminate, locate, and penetrate, and fill in the treated root canal tightly. In our endodontic practice, we employ the most modern and most precise microscope thanks to which the duration of the procedure is reduced to a single visit.
